McKinley High School is back in session. A new school year has come and it means New Directions is back at work, thanks to a whole one more complete year given to them. One problem, with new students who threaten to take the spotlight from others, and Sue Sylvester still on their tails to destroy them, the stakes are higher.
They must come together to prove they're more than just a choir who performs "hair-bands of the eighties, show tunes and rock" but to prove they're more rounded than that. Now begins the battle of winning and claiming the top spot, but with their enemies, superstar machine Vocal Adrenaline, also on the rise as well, the goals that New Direction's members are no longer just a goal...
