All of the scientists in the world decided to release a virus. They vaccinated so many people around them before releasing it. Once it was released all was broke loose. Many, many people died. When the virus settled and the people went out to see their work they were a little disappointed. It was hell on earth, for two months. After that everything was fine. A small portion of the worlds population survived and were mutated by the virus, giving them special. . . abilities. These abilities were raw and with the first generation, fatal. Each generation stabilized the mutations.
The scientists became inspired by the mutations and took some of their one pure humans and began breeding them and testing on them to see what mutations they could create. The world became strange. Humans were playing God and God was sitting on the sidelines. A rebellion started after a century of this careful nitpicking. The mutations multiplied in types. The scientists began specially breeding themselves to get the smartest most capable humans for the testing and studies, to carry out their work.
