In Roulette there is such a thing as portals. It's common knowledge that multiple universes and realities exist, but what people don't know is that these portals exist as bridges between them. They're very mysterious things and not many understand them. Those that do know that they are very unpredictable. A portal can appear anytime and anywhere and the ways people access them vary completely. A scientist from America can build a machine that activates a portal that takes him to Medieval Europe. A perfectly ordinary person could be walking and literally fall into a portal, suddenly finding themselves in a world made up of pink smurfs. Some people even have a natural power to access the portals. You decide. You can go where you want, and be whoever you want.
