MINISTRY SAVING MAGICAL COMMUNITY
In a desperate motion this morning, the Minister of Magic has signed the bill to require all wizards and witches with less than 5 magical relatives to register, according to Ministry regulation. “We need to make sure we’re still around in twenty years,” the Ministry spokesman said.
This registration is a very painless process that takes up a few minutes of a person’s time. “Very simple,” said a wizard who had just registered. “You show them your papers and they stamp you. No big deal. It’s just to make sure that we’re still going to have magic in the future.”
But the Ministry’s celebration has been struck down by protestors. “This is inhumane! We’re tattooing people so they’re targets for You-Know-Who, none of this “insuring magical community” bull they’re pulling. It’s all lies!” A much disheveled witch told the Prophet last week. The Minister spokesman shook his head when we asked him about these rumors. “All the rumors, about You-Know-Who deep inside the Ministry, his spies in Hogwarts – they’re all false. We’re fighting against You-Know-Who, not with him. These people just have too much time on their hands.”
