D'ahw, poor girl, everyone assuming she puts out xD Josh doesn't have a wide base of friends, only a few really close ones, and so he doesn't put much stock in the rumor mill. He's a bit promiscuous himself, but he usually only flirts with the type of girl that makes their interest obvious, so he probably wouldn't pursue Emilie.
Instead, maybe they could be friends of sorts? I imagine he'd see her kinda like a sister, even though they're only a year apart. Most of his friends seem to be girls for some reason. And if he were to hear the rumors, he'd defend her, probably say something obnoxious like "I'm more of a slut than she is, for goodness sakes!" xD
He loves to joke around and have fun, as well, just saying.

[/center] well hey tharrrr :]] so i think these two have great potential to be friends. since he is one year older than she is, they could easily have one of those relationships where he looks at her as a little sister, and would be protective if he ever heard rumors about her? cause then she'd look at him as an almost big brother figure, and whenever the pressures of school life got to much, she'd always have someone she could count on, as a shoulder to cry on? add/subtract/delete

He'd definitely see her as a little sister type figure - he was always the younger child in his own family, never close to the sister he did have, so he'd cherish the idea of having someone like a little sister. And he'd definitely defend her pretty fiercely - he's like that for all his good friends :D
